If you are about to set up a new gas boiler you should consider a combi gas boiler if you have a shortage of room. With just a combi boiler and balanced flue you have all the component parts you require to fit a full central heating system. To complete the heating you just need radiators, the necessary fittings and a quantity of copper pipe. Your first consideration could be surprised and thought that some component parts had been left out from the system. What about the water pump, the hot water storage cylinder and the feed and enlargement tank.
These component parts are not required by a modern-day combi heating boiler. You will have no need for a hot water storage cylinder, the feed and expansion cylinder can be left out of the attic, the combination gas boiler also incorporates the other smaller components. This gets rid of the requirement for a set of pieces, which take up a lot of space in your dwelling house.
The combination boiler is not new. The combi has been more popular in the Continent than in the U.K., but is now being fitted more frequently as an alternative to the conventional wall mounted heating boiler. The gas boiler design gives priority to getting instantaneous hot water. The radiators are provided with hot water once the valve is closed.
